Open Street Map

Posted on 2025-03-19 by Paul Sutton

OpenStreetMap is a map of the world, created by people like you and free to use under an open licence.  I have started to add some map info for parts of my local area.   Hopefully others can do the same.   To this end, I have included some useful links below.

OSM can be used in many areas, and both contributing or even using the data could make a useful project too.

IRC <> Matrix Bridge

Posted on 2025-03-16 by Paul Sutton

The group IRC Chat and Matrix chat bridge is being shut down.   It is probably much easier to join Matrix as this is much easier to set up for people in generally. and can be accessed from different devices. I

MATRIX

Matrix An open network for secure, decentralised communication.   There is a direct link to the room.   If you are already set up then the link should go direct, otherwise you will be presented with an option to sign up to Matrix and obtain a client.

This is also presented in plain text below, as it should make it easier to copy / paste in to a browser.

Hope this helps
