Thanks for the good laugh. I thought I could be sarcastic, but you win hands down.I suppose that works for second hand or refurbished computers. But for new ones....?? Two examples .... Pcspecialist will let you choose to order a computer without any OS. If you do the price immediately drops by £83. Novatech will show you the price without any OS. Add Windows 10 Home Plus and the price goes up by £90. Add Windows 10 Pro and the extra is £150. I find this very confusing,How dare you try and buy a general purpose computing device without paying for the bundled proprietary software license, are you mad? Personally I like it when the £150 professional version of that outstanding operating system asks you during initial setup whether you would like to see more adverts or just the same amount of adverts - but untargeted - in your operating system. I appreciate that there isn't a confusing "I don't want any adverts in my expensive professional operating system" option. If a company will let you spec a computer without a windows license included I'd stay away from them, they're probably communists or something. Hopefully that clears everything up for you.
Anyway I have come to a good arrangement with the local shop, so I am not paying for any licence. Hope daughter will be pleased,
