Looks like the communities work has finally started to pay off this deal is really good for the taxpayer.
A new deal between the Crown Commercial Service and Collabora Productivity will provide public sector organisations with savings on Open Source office software.
All we need now is for colleges to start using this software too as part of their teaching, or at least make people aware that there are alternatives out there.
The next Torbay tech jam is on the 14th November at Paignton Library 1 – 3 pm

I am hoping to be able to present a mini workshop on Interfacing the Raspberry Pi to an LED, it is a start and hopefully the work shops can build up to more complex projects over time. Also I want to do the same thing with Arduino.
The next Exeter Raspberry Pi Jam is on 7th November 10 – 12 at Exeter Library, Rougemont room, first floor.

The Dates for the Torbay Tech Jam for 2016 have now been added to the Tech Jam website. At the time of writing this post you can book tickets for the remainder of 2016 and for the first 2 months of 2016.
Hopefully with all the dates on the site people are better able to plan ahead for next year.
