I do not think the WPS button causes problems on other things.
I have used it to get WiFi connects to visitors smartphones, and
grand-children's tablets, without effecting any other devices in house
(WiFi to very old laptops elsewhere in house) or my (Ethernet
connected) printer.
They had problems entering the WiFi password on their screens.
Try it.
Regards and keep well.
I will give it a go and see what happens. The previous printer (HP
Photosmart 5220) had no problems connecting via both USB cable and/or
wifi to the desktop computer.
Both laptops worked with the wifi, again no problem. All I did, if I
remember, was turn on wifi on the printer, having used only USB for
ages. Then the laptops just worked. These so clever new printers are a pain.
