Very wise.

Many, many years ago, in the days of valves, a radio repair man I knew 
had the
maxim "If it ain't broken give it a polish and send it back". The most I 
ever saw
him do was to open the back of the set, reseat the valves, give the box 
a polish
and give it back to the customer. Crude but effective and 99% of the 
time the customer was delighted.

If only things were that simple today.
