If you know the make and model of her laptop a web search for the manual may save you time, e.g. 'Make model user manual pdf'. I often add PDF as that is the most common format manuals are held in electronically.

Yes indeed. I must check her computer to see if that is set up like
that. She has now told me that she gave the laptop a 'bit of a clean'
just before finding that the wifi was not working. I will check to see
how her particular model works.
