Cheers for that all, Alpine is pretty amazing so far. My work computer is prettybad and I have to keep closing Thunderbird for it to survive so my plan was Alpine and syncing the rc file.
I have been having some hit and misses with the filters. I was oblivious to the fact that you can add headers to filters/rules. Still, it was fun sending thousands of mail to the wrong inbox :)
