I've been looking at changing ISP's and the majority still seem to have longer contracts than monthly. Possibly more of the ADSL2 offers were monthly contracts. While I didn't pay especially close attention to the contract periods on packages I am pretty sure that was the state of things atm.
Try one of the many Enta resellers, 30 day contracts, reasonably good usage allowances. For about £45 you get 90GB peak (that is 8am to 8pm weekdays) and unlimited off peak (8pm to 8am weekdays and all weekend).
