Fair enough, Paul. My argument is that IRC doesn't provide historic archives, but 
whilst Matrix *does*, it relies on the user to use Matrix. And if my understanding 
is correct, don't use Matrix when you typically discuss the website? This is why I 
feel email discussion should be used instead. Not only does it add transparency, it 
is also on the mailing list archives, doesn't require Matrix, and allows those 
offline via IRC/Matrix to participate, *especially* if they have no interest in 
joining Matrix/IRC. - Ron, this is the critical point.
