Just wondering if anyone's been down this road as I have been unable to search successfully for a 'solution'?

The battery on my main laptop has long since gone south for the winter. I have a 22" TV connected to it (the laptop, not the battery) that displays 1920x1200 very nicely. I have it running as a dual display, so I usually have a terminal on the laptop screen and other things (browser, gimp, whatever) running on the TV.
