What oil?

Personally I'd never let a compressor like that anywhere near a

I'm really surprised at your negativity, Gordon. Modern PCB's are very
robust and I doubt very much there is anything more than the tiniest
theoretical risk of damage beyond blowing mountings and wires loose by
being heavy handed, and this technique is very widely used in the refurb
world. Personally I don't like working on machines that are filthy if
it's a pleasant two minute job to sparkle them up.

But hey, each to their own. I stand by my recommendation as somebody who
also has a fair bit of experience :)

I remember a few years back (probably a good 10 years or so now) when I was more into overclocking I read some crazy things about some folks cooling their systems by literally removing the fans and submerging the entire PC in a fish tank full of cooking oil.

I've never gone to that extreme myself (not even done water cooling) but all this talk of oil made me think about that.

Maybe one day I might give it a try (I have the fish tank)... or possibly this... http://totl.net/Eunuch/index.html
