Re: [LUG] wodim v Brasero

a mp3 player of some kind, have you thought about those little adaptors
that plugin to your device and then transmit the signal via FM to your
radio?

tried one of them, it was crap, even when selotaped to the radio, but then maybe I should have spent more than £5 and not bought it at Tesco....

I've tried a few, both cheap and expensive.

They work, ish. Their ability to work depends on three things;

1. The output. They're all very weedy by law in transmit and probably not much between them.

2. The position of your car radio's aerial. My volvo's is right at the back and useless for this. Work's Combo is right up the front and actually works ok.

3. If you're not in a city.  I don't do cities, but numerous friends report that because of interference and other people using these, the crosstalk is horrendous in some places. Yes, you can tune them, but I hear it's hard to find a spot unused for long.

Car stereos with usb or sd card input are very cheap, if your car happens to have one that can be replaced without dismantling the entire front half of the car...
