[LUG] Your ISP - and IPv6

I have been with the same ISP (fast.co.uk) since October 2007. That is quite a long time, it seems to me. They are OK although recently I have been seeing a lot of variations in the download speeds. This may be something at the exchange of course.

I have been seeing and hearing more about IPv6 recently. Now I don't know much about it, but it seems that the older IPv4 numbers are running out. Again, I am not sure if there is any urgency to change yet.

I am beginning to wonder if it is time to change to another ISP. Fast is rather expensive, from what I can see looking around Google. (I do understand that, like most things, you get what you pay for to some extent.)

So, as a combination of the above thoughts I have been looking around to see which ISP's are now ready for IPv6. Not many! I have spoken to the people at Fast and they are obviously not a bit interested at the moment.

So, does anyone on the list have any thoughts, opinions, on this please?
This may be on interest to others too,

thanks

Neil
