Agreed.  However, I did say encourages.

In any event, I tend to prefer a "right tool for the job" approach.  So,
a browser to browse the web, and MUA to send/receive email, a word
processor to write letters, etc.  Using a browser to email is "odd" to
me, to say the least.

And old-school approach maybe...
