Talking of long contracts, I just got off the phone with Sky who seemed
to think I owed them £230 odd quid

Seems when I move out of a former address 18 months ago their billing
system didn't recognise my cancellation and kept on charging me

After making it clear that I would pay the bill on the day that Satan
comes to work on ice skates they put me through to a gentlemen who

actually DID Seem to know what he was talking about.

Apparently the agent who took my cancellation 18 months back cancelled
my Sky package but didnt cancel the Sky+ monthly charge which proceeded
to build up and up

They finally agree it was their own screwup and wiped the slate clean

Glad I stood my ground
