By far the best solution, although not the cheapest is to separate your 
email and web requirements from your connectivity ISP.

Register your own domain, then you can chop & change connectivity ISPs at 
the drop of a hat - as long as you don't do anything as foolish as sigh up 
with one which a 1-year (or more!) contract!!

Jsut remember - BT may supply the copper and run the wholesale network but 
you then have a choice of over 100 connectivity ISPs to choose from - as 
well as the rather smaller number of LLU operators. BT Retail is just one 
of those 100+ ISPs who make use of the BTW network. (and one of the poorer 
ones IMO)
