Whatever gave you that idea? ;-) -- Neil Williams ============= I was interested in this thread as I am also running 8.04 on my laptop and am trying to get wifi working. If I install intrepid or upgrade to it I can compile the wireless driver which works great. However the fglrx driver intrepid installs breaks full screen opengl meaning things like nexuiz & openarena are unplayable. Can I add the intrepid repo to hardy then Upgrade/Install the latest kernel and then uncomment out the repo again ? I am finding info to do this very scant. Alternatively is there a way to upgrade to intrepid and make sure the newer version of fglrx isn't installed ? I tried a different driver for hardy that is supposed to enable me to connect with wep instead of wpa but although I can see the network it won't connect.
