I know what you mean. A few years ago, I was refused a mortgage by the
Halifax because my husband and I had moved into rented accomodation
while we looked for a house to buy. I thought they were joking when they
said this to begin with as I have always had an exemplary credit rating.
Then I got really angry and withdrew all my savings. I have never dealt
with the Halifax again and will not in the future.
