Hi Thank you all for your help. In desperation this morning I tried to see if I could see another Windows computer on the network, no luck, But... Having "booted?" with qemu -cdrom /dev/cdrom1 -hda c.img -m 256 (Which I had tried before) it can see and use the CD in the CD drive. (Well I did not do anything risky like remove it). But this was before I had really done anything on the computer, which is probably relevant. I also seem to remember a problem about encoding passwords, as I think I am hitting that when I attempt to access a scared folder on this computer. All this makes me think, so please see my next post.
