Entrance grades have little meaning - they just tell you how popular
the course is, and I don't think any of the list you've mentioned
would be in my top 10 Universities for Computer Scince. Imperial,
Cambridge, Edinborough, Manchester, Belfast would be my top 5 - any
listing that says otherwise about the top 4 is talking nonsense, as
they are in a league of their own.

Bristol didn't even have any specialist Computing courses when I
looked, UWE had System Analysis, Kingston had something interesting
combining System Analysis and Business, Plymouth was the only uni in
the UK offering a Computer Systems & Networks degree (in 1995, based
on a Postgraduate course) so I chose that.

Plymouth actually has a very good course in the CSN Degree - Cisco
sponsered and visited to cherry pick from that course - I know several
people who went to very nice jobs at cisco where they received tens of
thousands of pounds worth of training and invaluable experience
straight out of uni. Also Plymouth has termisoc which I think is one
of the better computing societies outside of the top 5 uni's I
mentioned before.
