I have two plugs in adjoining They sound quite a useful device, do you need any additional *filters* to stop, for example, your neighbour having identical plugs and using your connection? > > The setup now seems stable, but as I don't really know what I'm doing > I'd be happy to hear any suggestions about the way I've done it. Well its working and stable so thats good :-) The only thing I would say is it is slightly *cleaner* (IMHO) to have all the devices on the same subnet, ie have the computer(s) AND the router on 192.168.0.X OR 10.0.0.X what ever you feel like. I think you have done this by giving each computer two ip addresses, so i would in this case remove the 192.168.0.X addresses and stick only to 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2 for the two PC's and leave the router alone. > > Lastly, I'm still not clear about if I need hub/splitter/switch attached > to the router, (1 ethernet connection only), for access from 2 PCs? Its probably not a good idea to access the set up app twice but sharing the connection in this way is fine and a normal thing to do. -- Robin Cornelius --------------------------------------------------- robin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.cornelius.demon.co.uk http://sourceforge.net/projects/rt2400 GPG Key ID: 0x729A79A23B7EE764 http://www.biglumber.com/x/web?qs=0x729A79A23B7EE764
