Are your 'text editors' the likes of gedit/etc or are you in a console window
(nano/vim/emacs/etc) ..
Pluma. Mousepad. Thunderbird too. The last is very slow to respond to my
typing. My browsers are firefox, waterfox, vivaldi, waterfox.
The desktop is xfce. This is the default, and I am used to it. The text
editors seem to be OK.
