Video editing is fine but I can't have any
other programmes open and I need to save regularly in
expectation of a crash! It is low res video as well.

I'm not sure what else I can say other than I use it for:
Emails, Web work, photo and video edit and video playback.
The only drawback is the inability to upgrade ram beyond 8gb which would be nice in terms of video editing.Is the video editting doable? or has it become a real pain for you?
It is unlikely that I will frequently do any video editing. But good to know regardless.
There is a T420 on ebay, used, for £280. Thats a pretty decent price I reckon?! For a few hundred more, there is something like this...
