Now I'm totally baffled. Files that refused to open yesterday but had nolock files and hadn't been accessed in months will now open. Also thefiles I originally had problems with open too. I haven't made anychanges to the system, so I have no clue, particularly why the fileswhich were locked yesterday will open today.

If opened in LibreOffice do you get the same problems?
I understand very little work done on OpenOffice now, so it falls
behind, as few developers supporting it.
