Agreed, although the limit could be quite large with enough imagination.

Who's David Wheeler? Or I guess, which one? I googled but there are many
candidates with no particular one being the obvious one.
Author of the Secure Programming for Linux and Unix HOWTO, and
flawfinder, amongst many other bits.

If he uses your code, and your software is free software (for which he
has a strong preference), and his tools support the language in which it
is written, he will probably have checked it for common insecure coding
issues, and typically fixed any he found or at least fixed one example
of each type of flaw for you to get the idea.

Given that most economists seem to think the economy can not be modelled accurately in the first place I cant imagine them worrying about coding minutiae.
