Tom, you get worse. One comment in this thread was about jealousy and envy, They are quite different. Envy is general, jealousy is personal.

Example story.

A young man lives alone. Next door live another young man with a beautiful, loving wife. If the young man says to himself 'I wish I had a beautiful, loving wife' that is envy.

If he says, 'I wish that beautiful, loving girl next door were mine' that is jealousy.
