Yes you are right, it is just the start. I wouldn't be surprised if Google becomes the worlds largest security firm. But that would take everybody using one or all of it's services.. If people jump on the google+ band wagon then it is a step closer to knowing something about everybody. Or if Android becomes 'Thee' Device to own, or if Chromium becomes the OS of choice in the future for most palm devices... You see where i'm going with this.

I know IBM is trying to do this with that massive supercomputer they're developing which autonomous cities.
