Probably not.

If you are running 2.0.0.24 because it is the stock version with your distro and has security support - i.e. Debian stable - I'd stick with it, having a separate upgrade path is more hassle than the gains.

If you are running 2.0.0.24 because you downloaded a version from Mozilla, and haven't upgraded - then get with it and install a recent distro rather than doing things the "Microsoft way".
