I have found that when teaching people to do anything on a PC it helps if you gently instruct and have them do it themselves. Also leaving some instructions as a prompt. Repeat a couple of times to set the ... experience? into their mind. Just instructions dont help most of the time. Just showing the same.

So instruct, leave prompt guide, and dont loose your patience, are the best tips I could give.
