It really annoys me that they havent the wit to make a linux update app. And they're paying MS a fortune to use windows as a communication method. Richard Heads! What really annoys me is having to boot into w2k and, to be on the safe side, spend two or three hours updating just so I can transfer a file to the damn thing so the missus can spend 10 minutes before a 5 minute journey programming the damn thing. At least the car warms up!

I'm assuming you've tried WINE and it won't play? Ahhhh idea. Can you download the updates manually off the website, take the card out of the SatNav and transfer them over manually in a USB card reader? Pain in the bum but better than having to mess around with Win2K

Julian

I was going to boot into windows and install their home update package. But before that it recommends backing up the device. You backup by installing the home update package adn using that.
It hasnt got a card - I might just plug it in and see what shows up.
