Just found this:

The company is owned by an ex-Psion engineer.

Having contacted them, they are offering two versions (either Windows XP pro or Ubuntu (I assume UNR), both at Â499.99, which seems a bit pricey.

I might be interested if the price was lower, as I need something that
will slip into a pocket, but has a qwerty keyboard (albeit a little
small for serious typing)

Meh. Should have used ARM. I can't wait until somebody releases a proper ARM netbook with batteries lasting all whole day.

Too many people sticking with x86 because that's what Windows needs.

More Windows needs manufacturers to avoid ARM. Increased use of ARM would require MS to make Wx run on it - I don't think they know how anymore!

LOL, I dare say it could be done, at least possibly for the .Net stuff (I gather it's how developers can create applications on Windows/x86 and convert them easily to the XBOX 360/PPC) but I wouldn't trust Microsoft to do it right, and then I guess there is all the rest of the native x86 applications for Windows. Maybe they could ask the Wine project for help (I seem to remember someone getting Windows apps running on Wine on a PPC CPU as it used QEMU to emulate the x86 CPU).
