It's just as easy for a distro based on Debian sid (unstable) where for
safeties sake you must be in level 3 ie the console.
Run a little script called smxi, go through the menus and select install
nvidia driver. A few minutes later a prompt to stay in the console or
start the desktop appears. Select desktop and up comes the familiar
desktop. NB. no reboots and no bits of installer lying about throughout
system.
