Re: [LUG] Fonts in Ubuntu/Kubuntu 9.04

Hi Kevin

I think I have cured the problem, although I don't know what happened.

Older daughter uses Kde 4.2. I mainly use Gnome, with Compiz enabled. I
think the problem first occured after I used Kde the other day.

I rebooted into Xfce (which I also have installed) where the fonts were
fine. I then rebooted into Gnome and the fonts were back to normal, but
Compiz was off.

So there are various options to investigate, but I suspect it is a
conflict between Kde and Gnome configuration files.

I'll dig into it further to see if I can find out which configuration
file was being damaged, and report back to the list if I do (in case
anyone else has the same problem.)

Many thanks again for all your help.

Phil
