Now I've designed my own business card. Luckily Vistaprint do accept other designs in PDF format (although it's a pain in the backside as their templates don't seem to work that well on Inkscape, so I had to use a trial version of Adobe Illustrator!). They do charge extra too for the uploading of a custom design and then you also have to pay extra not to have their advert on the back of the card. Still for 500 or so business cards I found it to be much cheaper and less hassle doing this than buying a business card kit and doing my own. I agree though, if you're going to use a template, at least try and make it look a bit different (or even better do your own design or pay a professional to do the design).
