Many thanks. > -- > Kind regards > Rich Rich I think your question involves a lot of areas I am not qualified to comment on but... if as part of your task you need a software/hardware audit tool then I could recommend the open-source "OCS Inventory NG" http://www.ocsinventory-ng.org/ I have been using it for the last three years on a Linux server to keep track of over 600 windows desktop computers - a constantly moving target! It will also audit window servers, Linux and Mac I understand, although I have had no need of this capability.
