[LUG] Finding a Valid Serial Port

Hi

I am looking at a script which checks for valid interfaces.

The command ls /dev/ttyUSB* is great for USBs, as if one is not plugged
in nothing comes up.

However ls /dev/ttyS0 comes up with at least four even on my lappy which
does not have a serial port.

Does any one know a way around this?

All the best

Peter L-J
