Interesting - actually mp3 is not in the end my interest - I made her a
FLAC file for a cd and she loved it - we played it in the car, though an
mp3 could be useful as well. (We did both).

I will try this for my own education. And possible use instead of the
intermediary of mplayer. I'll have to look up the relevant functionality
of the lines. If I don't get it I'll come back!
