I remember working for BT after it got privatised. We had thousands of
'Management Consultants' giving courses and advice on management methods.
They were all American, over here because their 'skills' had been tried and
found seriously wanting in the States.

I'd like to see people at management level in this country with more that an
O'level in Computer Studies (they know how to look at a porn video using IE).
Someone who can read 'A computer called Leo' and ask how a company can be
more organised (using an old valve computer in 1952) than a 2007 company with
Billions of times more processing power and a computer with so called modern
software on every desk. Someone who can see that its really easy to change
'Corporate Style' if you don't encrypt your data in 'documents' and then try
and bolt on access rights when its too late. Someone who wont say 'you can
save a fortune using OO' but will say 'you can save a fortune by managing
your data - it wont matter whose office suite you want to use as you'll only
need a couple of copies
Someone who has an inkling that emulating the paper office on a computer is
the same as putting a man with a red flag in front of an automobile: to
protect others from any possible benefit.
