Hi Rob,

I think that I must have inadvertantly installed the closed source
version then. However, I do need my USB printer to function so, I need
the USB support.

So far, on my windows xp virtual machine, I have installed :

1) anti spyware
2) anti virus
3) anti web kit
4) XP Lite - for stripping out bits of windows that are not necessary

1 functional program that I will make use of - my navigation mapping
software, Anquet Maps.

All that effort and time to get 1 useful program installed. That's
Windows for you !
