Having started this thread, in my post I raised very gently the issue of
finding a short reply after the whole of a long email which itself
repeated a previous email - this email had followed quite a number of
similar posts - long repetitions (not quotes) and a short reply - so it
was never personal. Each person posting like this is *requiring* me to
scroll down to find the reply. There are a lot of emails on this list
and it is very helpful when we keep the quotes to a minimum. One
person's effort to keep the netiquette norms (I won't say rules) saves a
lot of time for everyone reading them. I found the reminder about the
thread change helpful as I don't always do it and did not in this case.
