Robin,
Don't know where you are based, but if in the mid Cornwall area, I am happy to
spend an evening or whatever showing you the basics of Kubuntu and trying to
answer any questions if it would help.

Sorry, I live down west, proper Cornwall, where a journey to Hayle is almost as bad as London.  But to have you on the end of this line is very reassuring.  If you're down this way, drop in for a cup of tea.
