Hey thanks! I'm not sure that was quite the right solution for me, in the end I just ended up building one big iso image, something along the lines of: mkisofs -dvd-video -all the options to make it bootable! and that created an iso that plays in both a dvd player and boots a computer to whatever livecd you want. Took me ages to figure out though as it doesn't look like there's anything around on the net with exactly the same thing. thanks for the help...
