No, motherboards as well, via have some serious dma issues that negate  
the use for mythtv.
I suppose some people need to play, especially since MB seems to last  
about 15 minutes before a new version comes out!
I went through 3 MB's before I found one that worked OK, even then I  
picked one with onboard optical spdif and found that it does not work  
under Linux, so I am still having to use a pci slot with my sound  
blaster card.

And I have had all kinds of problems with sata, so I have stopped using  
sata and gone back to ide.
