Actually, the very first browser, WorldWideWeb, for NeXT was a browser
and an editor, as was WYSIWYG.

W3C Amaya is going in the right direction, as a friendly HTML creation
tool. There's no reason why a WYSIWYG tool can't do it properly, but
we're still riding out the end of the days where people think a mess
made from a bunch of tables is perfectly fine. Once that mindset is
lost, we'll be a lot better.
