Has anyone here managed to use kgdb, i seem to be too stupid to get it to

I realise you probably know this, but it's all I can think of!
:-)

It looks like you're lacking the debug symbols, either that or kgdb can't
find
the debug symbols for the libraries.

Is there any way you can use gdb without the KDE front end?

It was the symbol file, and i'm not using kde this is a k for kernel, :-)
i am running a linux kernel through gdb on a remote machine to trap faults in
a kernel module i'm working on. Its a lot more hairy than plain old gdb on an
executable. Now i just need to get it to find the symbol files for ALL the
kernel modules that are being loaded :-(, well prehapse not unless they are
related to the area i'm working on. But instead of a normal kernel oops, gdb
on the development machine drops in to the fault and you can analyise the
situation as you would a normal executable :-)
