In 2.5/2.6 /dev/psaux has become a legacy option which you have to select during kernel configuration. A good idea is to configure your X server to use "/dev/input/mice". This way you only need one entry in your X server configuration for all of your input devices and if you decide to add or remove devices you won't need to restart X. I have a touchpad, graphics tablet and USB mouse working like this, and use them simultaneously. ^_^
Cheers! That should make things a little easier. (Debian Sid - 2.6.8)
I'm not sure if it works if you use the synaptics driver to use your touchpad.. I gave up using the synaptics driver on my ALPS pad because "features" like sticky button got on my nerves.
Nope, not using that. This is an *old* lappy. Grant. -- Artificial intelligence is no match for nuratal stidutipy. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
