Can anyone recommend linux based accounting packages ?

Nothing beats GnuCash for a rigorous and robust double-entry accounting
package. It's won numerous reviews and awards. If you need payroll or
inventory (stock balances), you would have to look elsewhere - GnuCash
concentrates on the accounts, not the rest of the business.

That's worrying, Thunderbird on MacOSX gave a bad signature on that one. It
was me, honest.

Anyway, gives me the chance to remind anyone that it's not that I'm biased by
being a GnuCash developer, I really do think it is the best of the crop and
thought that before I started any code.
