Hi Grant

Thanks once again. Well things seem a whole lot easier than I thought. 
Typed apt-get update and of it went. Then typed apt-get install 
synaptic and its gone away again. Will wait for it to finish before 
cheering too loudly!

Now what's the best dvd player? A topic for another email!
