The Microsoft website is quite clear on how to recognise a licenced copy of Windows.
However as tempting as it may be, reporting unauthorised software copying would win us enemies, and doesn't fit the ethos. I see it as Microsoft's problem in trying to support an outdated publishing model, it is only our problem in as much as they try and change the law to prop up a failing business model.
