Thought.  Does Blueyonder's AUP specify a number of PCs you are allowed to
connect to the cablemodem?  The cynic in me wonders if the reason to know
the MAC addressof the NIC is so they do packet sniffing (or some other form
of network probing) to check you are only using the number of PCs allowed.
not as far as i know , i have 4 computers networked and running from a 4
port router , if i had an 8 port i dare say there would be now problem
but i still wouldn't be able to get more than my allocated bandwidth
